Last night we held our 1st ever Samhain party ( Samhain is the Celtic name of modern day Halloween , yes it's not an American festival at all ! ) . Tamaki cooked lots of great tasting Halloween food and many musicians arrived in costume so we ended up having a Samhain music session as well, thanks everybody for coming along as it was a great night.
I have just put on a new keg of Black Isle tonight it's something we have not had in quite a while and perfect for the cooler weather - Black Isle Hibernator Oatmeal Stout 7 % .
Here is what the team at Black Isle brewery have to say about it A large but simple grist of pale and chocolate malts alongside unmalted oats creates Hibernator's big, hefty and creamy body. The accompanying berry and hedgerow fruit flavours are created by the addition of the English First Golding hops. In the mouth you will experience espresso, fruit, liquorice and delight. Match it with vanilla cheesecake and your life will be complete. Apart from Black Isle , we also have Suntory Malts and Aspall Suffolk Cyder on tap as well so there is something for everyone ! |
