on tap this week

On tap this week we have Scotch Ale 6.2% , for more info on Scotch Ale check out what Black Isle has to say about it below :

Believed to have originated from Edinburgh in the 1800s, the brewing of Scotch ales is now more of a focus for the US craft brewers than for those in its homeland. This beer, however, is a distillation of all that is good in Scotland. A liquid fruit cake with a malty foundation and a rich spice finish, this will fill your palate and astound you for minutes as you unlock the multi-layers of flavour.

Plus we still have a wee bit of Oatmeal stout left as well, if you are looking for great tasting organic beer come and try some Black Isle .

On tap this week - My favorite Black Isle beer ! , Hibernator Oatmeal Stout 7 %

Every morning lady Albannach & I cook organic oatmeal for breakfast ( porridge ) and I put milk on top of my porridge and lady Albannach puts shoyu on her's ! . We love Oatmeal everyday and we often use it in our rceipce   at Albannach everyday.  Here is what Black Isle brewery has to say about their stout

A large but simple grist of pale and chocolate malts alongside unmalted oats creates Hibernator's big, hefty and creamy body.  The accompanying berry and hedgerow fruit flavours are created by the addition of the English First Golding hops.  In the mouth you will experience espresso, fruit, liquorice and delight.

Match it with vanilla cheesecake and your life will be complete.
